Outline and motivation
In the information and communication industry, two outstanding areas of growths are the internet technologies and mobile networks.
These subjects of wireless internet are subjects of the 4 lectures given by the chair of communication technologies (ComTec).
The lecture starts at wednesday, 24'th of october, 10:15 in room 0446.
The curriculum of the lecture covers the following topics: - OSI Reference model
- Layer 1: Physical layer
- Passive components
- Active components
- Layer 2: Data link layer / MAC layer
- Layer 3: Network layer
- Layer 4: Transport layer
- Layer 5: Session layer
- Layer 6: Presentation layer
- Layer 7: Application layer
For students of Computer Science (Informatik) this lecture is equivalent to "Netzwerke" or "Rechnernetze".
