Research
The main research objective of the Chair for Communication Technology is "Wireless Internet" and "Ubiquitous Systems".
Among the investigated topics are context-aware services, which deliver information and services depending on location, identity, activity and other situational data.
Another research field is pervasive computing or ubiquitous systems. Such systems make services available, which adapt and react to the presence of persons, are easy to handle and support the user in his daily workflow.
Through the co-operations width leading companies like Condat AG (Berlin, Texas Instruments and Condat Information Systems AG), T-Mobile, Cisco Systems, Alcatel SEL and the cooperation in leading national and international R&D Projects (like bmb+f Wireless Internet, IST mCDN and MobiLife, Wireless World Research Forum WG2) the Chair for Communication Technology has a long term, successful experience in the field of system technologies, platforms and application development for mobile communication systems.
